We are pleased to announce, at the Regular Communication of The Grand Lodge of Scotland, held on Thursday 29th October 2021, brother Alan Dickson was confirmed as the our next Provincial Grand Master.

Brother Dickson's commission will be effective from Thursday 3rd February 2022.

Provincial Grand Master Norman MacLeod writes:

During the past year Freemasons in Edinburgh have reacted in many different, but positive, ways to support each other, their families, and the wider community in which they live.

​I have always been a proud Freemason but none more so than in the recent months where I have witnessed first hand the charity and benevolence of our members coming to the fore, to assist those less fortunate. While many of our members live in uncertain times themselves, the responses to financial requests have been fantastic ,and have greatly supported those in need. The support to the Foodbanks, the provision of meals by our Young Ashlars, assisted by some of our more mature Brethren, the recent response to a toy appeal, along with the grass cutting, hedge trimming and many other means of support provided by our members have shown the true value of Freemasonry in our community.  While we do not look for recognition for what we do, we should, as an organization, be extremely proud of what we have achieved during this difficult time.
