A Welcome from the Provincial Grand Master,
Brother Alan Dickson
Welcome to the Provincial Grand Lodge of Edinburgh’s website, whether you are living in Edinburgh or preparing to visit I hope you manage to find what you are looking for. Within these pages, you will find details of Edinburgh’s lodges and news of other masonic events organised within the Province.
If you are planning to visit one of Edinburgh’s lodges you will find a calendar of lodges meetings, contact details and what they are working. I can assure you of a warm welcome by friends you may know as well as those yet to meet. If travelling from outside of Edinburgh, and planning to visit a lodge, it is advisable to contact the Lodge Secretary, so they know to expect you. Please use the “contact the PGL Secretary” if you have any general questions or ideas for the Province to consider, or if you have some thoughts on how we can improve the experience of using the Province’s website. Our Principles
Our fraternity is founded on three great principles: Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. Each member is encouraged to build these principles into his daily life, and his dealings with all people, not just other freemasons.
|
Brotherly Love
Tolerance for the beliefs and opinions of others. Relief Charity is extended to those in the community in which the freemason lives. Truth Honesty and integrity in personal, business, and public life. |
