About the Lodge
The lodge dates from 1 February 1968. The lodge is named for Sir Robrt Moray who was initiated into Freemasonry by the Lodge of Edinburgh in 1641, while Moray as beseiging Newcastle. Members of the lodge travelled there for that purpose, and this is the first record of a non-operative being admitted on English soil. The lodge meets on the same day as the Grand Lodge Communications, and is primarily a research lodge. |
